That’s the magic of Talk Up Yout for me. Looking back it was a safe, nurturing environment in which to learn the business of media, pick up incredibly useful, transferable skills, meet new people and expand my network while also doing some good in the world.
U-Report Jamaica School Tour
I joined the project as Project Manager - working with my team to select and work with schools to design the engagement sessions with each group of students, manage the cadre of young project assistants and keep the tour on track.
Talk Up Yout Community Outreach Project
For this 6 month project I led the Talk Up Radio team in partnership with local youth organizations and youth leaders to produce a series of outside broadcasts highlighting the voices of and collaborating with youth in underserved communities in Kingston for the Talk Up Yout School Tour - powered by the Digicel Foundation and NCB Foundation.

For this project I I joined the Talk Up Yout Team to work with students in high schools across Jamaica to record their perspectives on issues affecting them and produce a series of articles and reports with recommendations for action on the part of stakeholders.
Talk Up Radio
Over 5 years I produced more than 250 episodes of the programme, staying abreast of youth trends, research and listening to our community to write the scripts, select the guests and create the segments that came together with the energy of our team and support of our listeners to make our mark on the Jamaican media landscape and the world of youth engagement.
Ackee Walk Children's Show
How I wrote 25 episodes of Ackee Walk Children's Puppet Show - a child-friendly, vibrant, culturally-relevant Jamaican programme on Television Jamaica. Produced by Emprezz Golding Productions, powered by UNICEF Jamaica.
